The Sansalone house was designed specifically for the Sansalone family. They enjoy having people come up to the mountains to enjoy the beautiful scenery with them so they wanted a lot of space for friends to stay. The home has four bedrooms and four and a half baths. The back deck spans across the main level and the basement level and over looks the top of a small waterfall. The living room expands out to a vaulted screened in deck with a large rustic natural stone fireplace. There are three natural stone fireplaces in this house, all wood floors, and lots of mountain rustic details mixed with elegant fixtures, cabinets and tile work to create one beautiful home.
The Sansalone house is located up a steep road and deep into the wooded surrounding. During the winter months of construction the road was often impassable. A few times we would have to walk the entire 1000 feet plus, road and spread salt to melt the snow since the drive was on the backside of a hill that seldom saw sunshine. The client even had to help during one of her visits in order to get to the house. The lot was also a little difficult since it was built on the backside of a steep hill above a stream with a small waterfall. The septic had to be installed to pump up in front of the house and in the side yard and the well connection was nearly 300 feet from the house.
