Olsen Project - Design/Build 2006

Project description

The Olsen project consisted of a three bedroom home in approximately 2000sqft. There is a master on the main level and two bedrooms with their own bathroom and a loft area for recreation. There is a screen porch and a stair system to the back yard for access to Lake Glenville.

What made this project difficult?

The house was constructed down a long wooded lane. The power line and water line needed to be trenched down the road for approximately 700ft. The septic field was installed across the street from the house and uphill so a pump station was installed. The home was built on a very steep grade so the crawlspace is about 20ft high in some locations. The stairs off the back deck was difficult and complex build.
