Habgood Project - Timber Construction 1998

Project description

The Habgood project was one of the first projects that I worked on after moving here in the late 1990's. At the beginning of my construction career I worked mostly with a company that provided timber frame homes. That company, Mill Creek Post & Beam Company out of Saluda North Carolina, focuses on designing homes and cutting the post and beams with the original construction of mortise and tendon connections.

For some people that is an important aspect, the authenticity of the construction and there is no doubt that an authentically constructed post and beam home is truly beautiful, warm and inviting. That is what attracted the Habgood's to decide to build a timber frame home.
