About Moore Construction Services

I have been a General Contractor in Glenville since March, 1997. I have been President of the Jackson County Home Builders Association in 2002, 2003 and 2004. I've continued to sit on the JCHBA board and will be President again in 2010.

I have a degree in Architectural Drafting & Design as well as attending classes at Ohio State and Ball State Universities in the field of Architecture. I run my business as a professional Designer & Builder that carries and unlimited residential and light commercial license and I am insured in construction.

Since I started building in North Carolina I have taken spanish classes to try to understand some of the workers from Mexico. I will say that I am by far able to communicate efficiently. I also have taken classes in Green Building and last year, was able to get my certification as a Green Building Professional from the National Home Builders Assocation. I look forward to continuing my education in the field of building and never stop learning.

Why Choose Moore Construction?

One of the most important decisions you will make in your life is the decision about where and how you want to live your life. The purchase of a new home is, for most, the largest financial investment they will ever make in their lifetime. The process of building your new home can be one of the most stressful times you will experience because your money and your happiness is dependent on that experience resulting in your dream coming true. Nine of ten homeowners that I have built for in the past usually live in another state, many hours from their new mountain get-a-way. Wouldn’t you want the peace of mind that the person you have put your hard earned money, your hopes and dreams, your desires for future happiness is going to handle the process with you as though you were part of her own family? That is what I can offer to you. Let me show you how...

Stability

I’ve lived and operated my business in the same place since 1997. I believe it is important to build beautiful, eye pleasing, quality houses that reflected the mountain aesthetic and the area I call home...

Experience

I have experience with the type of workers and subcontractors that are common to this particular region. I have gone throught the growning pains of learning about how this area differs from other areas in terms of building difficulties in terrain and laborers...

Professionalism and Responsibility

I am an established business in this community and run my business professionally. I am fully insured and hold my North Carolina General Contractor’s License.

Details, Design & Finishing the Job

I have been educated in the field of Building Design. I have studied Architecture and I believe I have an eye for details. I design a majority of the homes that I build and my forte is simple proportionate design on the outside with a "WOW" factor on the inside where it counts...

Final Note

Many Builders or General Contractors started in this career as carpenters. Their favorite part of the job is usually building or constructing the home but there are a myriad of tasks to perform in order to successfully complete a new home construction project that goes beyond the actual construction of the home. I think my strong suit is that I am a business woman and my interest encompass the total project. I enjoy running a construction business, understanding the financial aspects, keeping on schedule, working with quality people who have pride in their work, learning about new construction methods and materials, educating others about construction, and keeping the client informed and comfortable with the process without conflict. I want to build a home that will stand the test of time, build new friendships with my clients and to help you make your dream home a reality.
